Wildlife populations have declined by 73% over the past 50 years. Yet reliable, scalable biodiversity data has been virtually non-existent, making nature impact as urgent to address as it is hard to measure. Hula Earth's dual-technology approach is technically differentiated and uniquely scalable, addressing a nature funding gap estimated at over $700 billion per year. The team's ability to close enterprise deals with well-known customers like ENGIE, STIHL and DKB demonstrates real commercial traction in a market being rapidly shaped by new EU biodiversity regulation.

Florian: We help land managers better align with nature by capturing biodiversity signals and translating them into tangible physical action.

What impact are you aiming for?

Florian: To stop and reverse nature loss.

How did you start your company?

Florian: It began with the realization of how little society values nature and its ecosystem services, despite them being the bedrock of our planetary health.

What have been your biggest challenges as a startup so far?

Florian: Finding outstanding people who are talented and "crazy" enough to join the journey in the early days when you have little more than a vision. We tackled this by focusing on a high talent density and painting a vivid picture of what the future looks like once we succeed and that's how you get the very best on board.

What have been your biggest personal challenges as founder so far?

Florian: Keeping up with the necessary pace of personal growth, which I've addressed through consistent external sparring and mentorship.
